Bio: Inderpreet Sawhney
Inderpreet Sawhney, Infosys
Inderpreet is the Group General Counsel & the Chief Compliance Officer of Infosys. In this role she leads the legal and compliance function of the Company. She is a tactical business partner supporting the business in legal and regulatory matters. She is also responsible for directing the development and execution of the compliance and ethics program of the Company.
Inderpreet is a seasoned international professional with over 25 years of experience, including as a General Counsel of a large IT Service company, and as Managing Partner of a mid-sized law firm in Silicon Valley where her mandate included counsel on complex international transactions. She also serves on the National Advisory Council of SABANA (South Asian Bar Association of North America). Her past leadership positions include President SABANA, Board Member of Pratham Bay Area, Foundation for Excellence and Indus Women Leaders.
In recognition for her work, Inderpreet has been awarded the 2006 Minority Bar Coalition Unity Award, 2010 Outstanding Mentorship Award - SABA Northern California, 2010 NASABA (North American South Asian Bar Association ) Cornerstone Award and the 2013 NASABA Corporate Counsel Achievement Award. She is a frequent speaker at conferences globally.
Inderpreet has a BA (Hons.) and LL.B degree from Delhi University and an LL.M from Queen's University, Kingston, Canada.
Bio: Irani Ruzbeh
Ruzbeh joined the Mahindra Group in March 2007, as Executive Vice President – Corporate Strategy. He was responsible for strategy formulation and monitoring across the Group. In 2009, he was also appointed Chief Brand Officer, and was instrumental in spearheading the work on the Group’s brand position and core purpose.
Ruzbeh subsequently led Mahindra’s entry into MotoGP - the World Motorcycle Racing Championship, making Mahindra the first Indian two-wheeler manufacturer to participate on the world stage, in motorcycle racing. He was appointed to the Mahindra Group Executive Board in 2010. In February 2012, he was appointed as Chief Executive - International Operations, where he was responsible for spearheading Mahindra's efforts to build its global presence, for the Automotive and Farm Equipment businesses.
After completing his Bachelors degree in Commerce from Bombay University, Ruzbeh went on to receive his Masters in Management Studies from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai. He is an alumnus of the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School. At Mahindra, Ruzbeh has leveraged his cross-cultural experience when he co-led the Mahindra Global Recruits Program, through which Mahindra annually recruits from Ivy League campuses in the US.
Bio: Manish Sinha
Manish Sinha is the Managing Director of Dun & Bradstreet India.
Prior to joining Dun & Bradstreet, Manish Sinha was the CEO and India Country Leader at Equifax, responsible for the Bureau and Analytics businesses in India.
Earlier, Manish worked with HSBC India within the retail banking business as Head of Consumer Assets and then was Head of Customer Value Management.
Manish was employed with London-based Barclays Bank for seven years and was responsible for leading the group credit strategy initiatives, launching the Barclaycard business in India as the Chief Credit Officer and executing the growth strategy of Barclaycard International.
Earlier in his career, Manish also worked in mergers and acquisition departments for globally-renowned companies McKinsey & Company and Arthur Andersen.
Manish holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and a B. Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
Bio: Michael Duran
Michael Duran is an Assistant General Counsel and Compliance Director at 3M. In this role, Michael directs a team that designs and implements global controls that mitigate corruption and compliance risk, including 3M’s Code of Conduct and compliance policies and procedures, third party due diligence program, internal compliance evaluations and audits, compliance risk assessment process, M&A due diligence, and the global training and communication program.
Michael joined 3M in December of 2011. From 2006 to 2011, Michael helped design and implement enterprise-wide compliance controls for Marsh & McLennan Companies. From 1998 to 2006, Michael held various financial and compliance roles at multiple General Electric businesses. Michael has B.S. in Finance from DePaul University, a J.D. from the University of Illinois, and a M.B.A. in Finance from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University. He is admitted to the Illinois, Nevada, and Minnesota bar.
Bio: Patrick Rowe
Patrick is one of the Deputy General Counsel at Accenture with global responsibility for ethics and compliance, employment law, regulated offerings and geographic matters. His responsibilities in ethics and compliances include the code of business ethics, Data Privacy, Anti-Corruption, Trade Compliance, AML, Competition Law and Government compliance. Patrick joined Accenture in 1995 and has held a variety of roles in the legal group. Prior to joining Accenture Patrick specialized in litigation at an Australian Law firm.
Bio: Thomas Pfennig
Effective January 1, 2016, Tom Pfennig took over as Head of Compliance at Bayer AG. In his function, he is overseeing all legal compliance activities within Bayer’s divisions and corporate functions globally. This includes coordinating the Integrated Compliance Management (ICM) advising on legal Compliance topics, including industry codes, laws and public regulations as well as company directives.
Mr. Pfennig joined Bayer in 2004. He worked as Legal Counsel in Bayer AG´s and Bayer Corporation´s Litigation departments from 2004 to 2009. In 2010, he became Senior Legal Counsel Women’s HealthCare at Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals Inc. He returned to Germany in 2012 and assumed the global responsibility for Investigations and Reporting at Bayer AG´s Compliance function. From 2013 until 2015, he was Head of Legal Product Supply at Bayer HealthCare AG. Prior to joining Bayer, Mr. Pfennig worked at BMW of North America LLC and AT&T Broadband in the US.
Mr. Pfennig completed his legal studies at the University of Bonn/Germany and thereafter graduated from the University of Denver Law School with a Master in American and Comparative Law. He attended Graduate Business Management Programs at the University of Pittsburgh Katz School of Business and Oxford University Said Business School. Mr. Pfennig is admitted to the German Bar and the New York Bar.

Bio: Tom Tropp
Tom Tropp is Corporate Vice President, Ethics and Sustainability, for Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., reporting directly to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer J. Patrick Gallagher, Jr. In this role, he spends much of his time traveling to Gallagher offices around the world, speaking and listening to Gallagher employees regarding the values of the company and the role of ethics in business. Over the last six years, he has addressed more than 14,000 of the company’s 18,000 employees in small group settings. He also gives presentations to industry and professional groups on the importance of an ethical culture and Corporate Social Responsibility.
He joined Gallagher in 2007 through the acquisition of Tropp & Company, Inc., a private, Chicago-based international insurance brokerage firm of which he was President and Founder. In 2003, while continuing to operate his brokerage firm, Tom began to pursue a Master of Arts in Philosophical and Theological Ethics at the University of Chicago, completing that degree in 2007. He continues his research into the grounding of corporate ethics in philosophical and theological traditions. He has also served as an Adjunct Lecturer in Philosophy at Lake Forest College in Illinois.
Tom is the liaison between AJGCo and such organizations as the United Nations Global Compact, the Ethisphere, the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship, and the Dow Jones Sustainability Index.
