“Though COVID has disrupted our businesses and created a dystopian world, the emphasis on ethics has never been greater. We have implemented out-of-the-box ideas and inculcate measures to reflect these changing times by revamping our training and communications programs and setting expectations with our external stakeholders through Vlogs, highlighting how our PoSH policy is contextualized for remote working and sensitizing our employees on online etiquettes of a virtual workspace via POSH Flix (role play enactment videos) & Information Card detailing guidelines for Work From Home awareness.
For grass root level outreach during these unprecedented times, we introduced an innovative approach titled ‘Virtual Clinics’. The key theme of this two-way virtual connect (with 1,000+ employees across 23 sessions) was gaining a deeper understanding of the concerns, challenges, and real-life situations faced by our employees and providing appropriate guidance and resolutions to their concerns within 24 business hours (with 95% queries being resolved in the said time frame). This initiative enabled and empowered our employees to achieve the key objectives by upholding Diageo’s value system and ethics culture.
Our Associate Ambassador network’s core focus is on value creation at all levels & instilling a sense of compliance ownership, this was extended to all our workers. With a network of 32 Associate Ambassadors from 16 Units, monthly training on specific policies with case studies were conducted. About 2,000+ workers were trained in their regional languages over 98 sessions across all our Units. We are extremely proud of our diversity and it was heartening to note that more than half of our Ambassadors are women!”
