Sound Body, Sound Mind, and Selfless Support From GE’s Regional Compliance Officer Helps South Asia & India Power Through COVID-19 Recovery

Avinash Chandan, Regional Compliance Officer at General Electric Steam Power in Asia, knows that defeating the terrible effects of a COVID-19 diagnosis and recovering from this dreadful virus takes a strong body and sound mind.  Much like succeeding in business, it takes strategy, discipline, and compliance with a strict regimen of tactics to rise above, and win the battle. In an effort to drive change, Avinash launched a YouTube channel where he demonstrates key exercises to inspire and encourage people to come back and recovering from COVID. Take a look.

Compliance leaders–regardless of industry— are a well-knit group, so when Avinash was asked by Nokia’s Head of Global Market Compliance in Singapore, Mona Dange to support the Nokia team in India, he stepped up to lead a session with 150 employees in attendance. COVID-19 has devastated the world, particularly impacting a large population in India, but it also brought us together in ways we could never have imagined. It’s people like Avinash Chandan, and ethics and compliance leaders like Mona Dange who will ultimately bring us through the pandemic, better, stronger and with a renewed sense of purpose that will make the world a better place.
